How a new roof goes

Tear-off to cleanup often happens in a single day.

  1. Ladders up at a house before the work starts

    John looks at it

He comes out, inspects the roof and walks you through what he’d do and what it costs.

  2. New plywood decking going down

    Off with the old

The old roof comes off. Rotten plywood gets replaced so the new roof sits on a solid deck.

  3. A vent pipe fitted through the new decking

    Vents and flashing

Vents, pipes and flashing get done properly, since that’s where a lot of leaks start.

  4. New shingles with ridge vents

    New shingles

New shingles, vents and trim. You pick the material, and John explains the options.

  5. A finished roof

    Cleanup

The crew clears the yard and the street before they leave. Customers bring it up in review after review.

Fixing someone else’s roof

A lot of calls start the same way: another company did the roof, and the first heavy rain found the mistakes. John comes out fast, finds the problem and gets it fixed before it does more damage inside.

“Tom’s Roofing did an amazing job with our roof! The previous job done on the roof was done incorrectly which cause some damage during the heavy rain storm. John came to inspect the roof and was so kind and empathetic about our situation. He was able to squeeze us in immediately so no further damage was done to our house!”

“I’m an Oregon State Licensed General Contractor, and my house needed a new roof. I will definitely be referring Tom‘s Roofing & General Contractor, to any of my clients or anybody who asked me. They were very efficient, clean, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. The price was very reasonable compared to the other five quotes I received.”

“The workers arrived early and stayed late to complete our roof in 1 day. There were no surprises with the estimate. We love the fact that this is a family business.”
